Ludhiana (Punjab)

Our Ludhiana ICD and rail-linked freight terminal commenced commercial operations in February 2016 and October 2015, respectively. It is located at Village Chawa, adjacent to Chawapail Railway Station, approximately 30 kilometres from Ludhiana city. It has been developed on 48 acres of owned land and is equipped with three rail handling lines, warehousing facilities of approximately 43,000 square feet, empty container parks and container maintenance and repair infrastructure. It has been developed to handle 496,218 TEUs, with a total of 2,719 ground slots for stacking containers.

The key commodities handled at this terminal are, (i) EXIM-focussed containers, such as rice, textiles, scrap, yarn, bicycle and auto parts, (ii) domestic-focussed containers, such as white cement, sponge iron and chemicals, and (iii) domestic non-container cargo such as edible oil. It benefits from the catchment area that spans across Mandi Gobindgarh, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Pathankot (Punjab), Khanna-Doraha-Chandigarh (Punjab), Bhatinda-Barnala (Punjab), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and Jammu.
