ICD Birgunj is Nepal’s largest rail-linked Inland Clearance Depot and a key gateway for international trade. Spread across 94 acres, the terminal combines rail connectivity, warehousing and cargo handling infrastructure to support containerised and non-containerised cargo moving between Nepal, India and global markets.
Birgunj provides a critical competitive advantage for cross-border trade with India, and for movement of third country imports into Nepal via Indian gateway ports. The facility anchors cargo movement across the nation’s key industrial sectors, reliably managing high-volume shipments of petroleum products, industrial raw materials, chemicals, edible oil, pharmaceuticals, machinery, iron, steel, cement, construction materials, and consumer goods, with reliability and operational control.
Pristine has an O&M contract for Inland Clearance Depot (ICD) Birgunj, with Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board (NITDB), Government of Nepal.
